A ductless system that gets a real tune-up runs cleaner, costs less to run, and lasts longer. A lot of Farmington mini-splits cool one hard-working room and run all summer, so keeping them serviced really matters. With AmeriHeat the owners do the work. Justin or Colby cleans it, checks it top to bottom, and tells you straight how it is doing. No plan to sign, no pressure.
No heat in winter, no cool in a heat wave, busted lines. We answer the phone day or night, weekends included.
A lot of so-called maintenance visits are a filter rinse and a quick look. That is not a tune-up. When we service a ductless system we clean it properly, test how it is running, and check the parts that actually fail. Farmington mini-splits often cool one demanding room, a bonus room over the garage, a finished basement, and run hard all season, so a thorough service is what keeps them efficient and reliable.
Because we service every ductless brand, it does not matter who installed your system. Justin or Colby does the work, so the person cleaning your system is the one who can spot a small problem before it becomes a breakdown. You get a straight read on how your system is doing and what, if anything, it needs.
Justin VanCassele and Colby Baker run AmeriHeat together. Colby is a veteran. Both owners are on jobs every week across Rochester and Monroe, Wayne and Ontario Counties.

A full ductless tune-up is more than a filter rinse. This is the work we do on every Farmington mini-split we service.
We clean the reusable filters and check their condition. Dirty filters are the number one cause of weak airflow and lost efficiency, so this is where it starts.
A single-zone unit cooling a whole bonus room runs harder than a whole-home system, so we check the refrigerant charge and test the compressor and startup. Low charge or a straining compressor is what leads to short cycling and early failure. Catching it at a tune-up keeps the system that carries the load from quitting on the hottest day.
The evaporator coil sits in a tight space inside the head and collects buildup that is hard to reach without the right tools. We clean it and the blower so the system cools well and the air stays fresh.
We flush and clear the condensate drain so it does not clog and leak water down your wall. A backed-up drain is one of the most common ductless headaches, and it is easy to prevent.
We inspect the wiring and electrical connections and tighten anything that has worked loose. Loose connections are a quiet cause of breakdowns and a safety risk, so this check matters.
We clear and check the outdoor unit, then run the system and calibrate the thermostat and fan so everything works together the way it should. Then we tell you how it is doing.
No subcontractors and no rushed checklists. Justin or Colby does the full tune-up and gives you a straight report on your Farmington mini-split.
It depends on how you use it. If your mini-split only cools in the summer, one professional tune-up a year, in spring before the cooling season, is the right schedule. If you run it year-round as a heat pump for both heating and cooling, it works twice as hard and should be serviced twice a year, once before cooling and once before heating. In between, the one job that is yours is cleaning the filters every few weeks. We will show you how.
If you use your mini-split just for summer cooling, one tune-up a year in the spring keeps it clean, efficient, and ready for the heat.
If you run a ductless heat pump year-round, service it twice, once before cooling and once before heating. It works hard in both seasons and the extra visit keeps it healthy.
This is the part most people do not know until it is too late. Most ductless manufacturers require proof of regular professional maintenance to honor a warranty claim. If your compressor fails in year six and you cannot show the system was maintained, the manufacturer can deny the claim and you pay for the part out of pocket. A documented tune-up is cheap insurance against a bill like that.
We keep a record of every tune-up we do on your Farmington system, so if you ever need to make a warranty claim, you have the maintenance history to back it up.
A clean, well-tuned ductless system uses less power to do the same job, so your bills stay lower. It also lasts longer. A neglected system that carries a heavy single-room load might give up in ten or twelve years, while a maintained one can run well past fifteen. Spending a little on a yearly tune-up is far cheaper than replacing a system early.

A standard ductless tune-up takes about an hour, sometimes a bit longer if you have several indoor heads or the system needs extra cleaning. We do not rush it. The whole point is doing the full job right, and we will tell you what we found before we leave.
