When a ductless head stops cooling, drips water, or throws an error code, you want someone who actually works on mini-splits, not a company that only knows central air. That is Justin and Colby. We diagnose and repair ductless systems of every brand, and we are owner operated, so the person who picks up is the person who shows up.
No heat in winter, no cool in a heat wave, busted lines. We answer the phone day or night, weekends included.
Not every HVAC company is comfortable with mini-splits. We are. We diagnose and repair ductless systems of every brand, from a single head that quit to a multi-zone system throwing an error code. Justin or Colby does the work, so you get an honest diagnosis from the owner and the price before anything starts.
Webster's spot along Lake Ontario means humid summers, and that humidity shows up in ductless repairs. More moisture in the air means more condensate, and a clogged drain line is one of the most common reasons an indoor head starts dripping. We clear it, check the slope and the pump, and make sure it drains the way it should.
Justin VanCassele and Colby Baker run AmeriHeat together. Colby is a veteran. Both owners are on jobs every week across Rochester and Monroe, Wayne and Ontario Counties.

Single head or multi-zone, here is what we see most on Webster mini-splits.
The most common ductless leak. The head makes condensation as it cools, and our humid lake summers make a lot of it. When the drain line clogs or loses its slope, water backs up and drips down the wall. We clear the line, check the pump, and stop the leak at the source.
One head running warm usually points to a dirty filter, a blocked coil, or low refrigerant. We find the real cause instead of just topping off refrigerant and sending you a bill.
No response from the head or the remote often means a power issue, a failed control board, or a communication fault between the indoor and outdoor units. We track it down.
Ductless systems run self-diagnostics and flash a code when something is wrong. We read the code, find what it is actually pointing to, and fix the cause, not just reset it.
Ductless systems can develop slow leaks, often at the flare fittings. We find the leak, repair it properly, and recharge the system to spec instead of just adding more refrigerant.
Dirty filters and a clogged blower wheel are the usual cause of weak airflow on a mini-split. We clean it up and get the air moving the way it should.
A ductless mini-split is a different animal than central air. The diagnostics are different, the parts are different, and the common failures are different. We work on them every week across Webster, so you get someone who knows the system instead of a tech guessing at it.
Our diagnostic is $99. The owner comes out, properly diagnoses the mini-split, reads any error codes, and explains exactly what is going on and what it costs to fix before any work starts. No mystery service fees, no pressure. If you move forward with us, you get honest repair pricing in writing first.
Most mini-split problems come down to a handful of causes. A clogged condensate drain that makes the head drip, a dirty filter choking airflow, low refrigerant from a slow leak, or a communication fault between the indoor and outdoor units. A modern ductless system will often flash an error code to point at the problem, and we know how to read those codes and trace them to the actual cause rather than just clearing them.
Webster's humid lake summers mean a mini-split pulls a lot of moisture out of the air, and all of that condensation has to drain somewhere. When the drain line clogs or sags, the water has nowhere to go and starts dripping down the wall from the indoor head. We clear the line, check the condensate pump if there is one, and correct the slope so it drains properly and stays dry.
Refrigerant work is for pros. If your system is low on refrigerant, it has a leak somewhere, usually at a flare fitting. Simply adding more refrigerant without finding the leak is a temporary patch. We locate the leak, repair it, and recharge the system to the manufacturer's spec.
Most ductless repairs are worth doing, since mini-splits are built to last and a single failed part is usually a straightforward fix. If you have a multi-zone system and one head fails, that does not mean the whole system needs replacing. We tell you honestly whether you are looking at a simple repair or, on an older system with a major failure, whether replacement is the smarter money. Your call, with the real facts in front of you.
