Rochester has a mix of housing that ranges from pre-war bungalows in the city to post-war ranches in Greece and Irondequoit to new builds out in Pittsford and Victor. That variety matters for HVAC because the system you need depends on what the house was built for.
Many older Rochester homes still run on fuel oil or have steam boilers. Rochester winters are hard on heating systems. The cold stretches are long, the thermostat runs nonstop, and small problems compound. Annual maintenance catches those problems before they become emergency calls on the coldest day of the year.

If your system is at or past those ages and you are making repair calls, it is worth looking at replacement numbers so you are not surprised by a failure in January.
AmeriHeat is an authorized Heil dealer. Heil makes solid residential HVAC equipment at a fair price, which fits how we work. We also install and service Gree, Thermo-Pride, Rheem, and Lennox. If you already have a different brand, we can service it and help you plan a replacement when the time is right.
