No heat in winter, no cool in a heat wave, busted lines. We answer the phone day or night, weekends included.
AmeriHeat is not a franchise. We are a Rochester NY based, truck-based, owner operated HVAC company. Justin or Colby answers the phone. No call centers, no rotating techs, no salesmen booking your service call.
We serve Sodus NY regularly. Typical response is 35 to 50 minutes from when you call. Same day service when available, next day at the latest. For real emergencies, no heat in February or no cool in July, 24/7 service is on the table.
We service every system type. Gas furnaces, oil furnaces (still common across the Sodus area), hot water boilers, steam boilers, heat pumps, central AC, and ductless mini splits. You get the price before any work begins. No surprises. No upsells in the driveway
Justin VanCassele and Colby Baker run AmeriHeat together. Colby is a veteran. Both owners are on jobs every week across Rochester and Monroe, Wayne and Ontario Counties.
Give them a call. They actually pick up.
Typical response 35 to 50 minutes from our Rochester base. Sodus sits on the Lake Ontario shoreline east of Williamson, and we cover the full Town of Sodus including Sodus Point and the rural areas across ZIP 14551.
Sodus is a Wayne County town on the Lake Ontario shoreline, east of Williamson and Ontario. The Town of Sodus includes the Village of Sodus along NY Route 104 and the lakefront village of Sodus Point on Sodus Bay. ZIP codes are 14551 (Sodus) and 14555 (Sodus Point). The area is rural and semi-rural, with apple orchards, year-round homes, summer cottages along the bay, and farmsteads spreading across the rolling terrain inland from the lake. Most Rochester area HVAC companies do not regularly drive this far. We do
Sodus housing stock skews older and rural. The mainland village stock around Route 104 includes farmhouses, mid-century homes, and a smaller number of newer builds. Sodus Point and the bay area has a heavy mix of lakefront cottages (some seasonal, some year-round) and small year-round homes set back from the water. Out on the rural roads you will find farmsteads and older homes spread across larger lots.
What we see most across Sodus: aging fuel oil furnaces and oil-fired boilers (natural gas does not reach a lot of the rural Sodus area, so fuel oil and propane are still common), older gas furnaces in the village stock, central AC systems on R-22 refrigerant nearing end of life, and homeowners adding ductless mini splits to lakefront cottages, additions, and outbuildings. Lakefront properties have their own quirks too: salt air corrosion, seasonal humidity swings, and tight floor plans that often do not have central ductwork
From simple repairs to full system replacements, here is what AmeriHeat handles for Sodus homes. Most calls fall into one of these categories.
Heating is the dominant Sodus call type. We handle furnace repair, furnace installation, furnace replacement, and heater repair across the Town of Sodus and Sodus Point. For Sodus homes still on fuel oil (a real share of the rural housing stock), we service the existing oil furnace, install Thermo-Pride for fuel oil replacements, and handle oil to gas conversions when natural gas is at the street. The price, equipment, and timeline are laid out in writing before any work begins.
Older homes and farmhouses across Sodus run a real mix of hot water boilers, steam boilers, and oil-fired boilers. We service all three. Annual maintenance on the older Sodus equipment catches small problems before they become a no-heat call when the temperature drops off the lake.
For cooling work in Sodus we service all brands of central AC and install Heil central air systems (we are a Heil authorized dealer), Rheem for higher end builds, and Gree ductless mini splits for lakefront cottages, additions, second-story bedrooms, and older Sodus homes without central ductwork. The lakefront cottages around Sodus Point and the bay are the perfect candidates for ductless: the existing space is often too tight for central ductwork, and a wall-mounted ductless head delivers both heating and cooling on one system. Honest sizing, free written estimate, no copy-paste quotes
Heat pump installs are growing across the Sodus area, especially for homes that have been running fuel oil where the operating cost has climbed. We install both ducted heat pumps tied into existing forced air systems and ductless heat pump configurations. For lakefront properties dealing with humidity swings off Lake Ontario, we install whole home humidifiers (Aprilaire and Honeywell), high-efficiency filtration, and iWave air purifiers tied into the existing duct system. Lakefront homes have unique indoor air challenges: salt air, seasonal occupancy, and the moisture that comes with being near the water. The right indoor air quality setup makes a real difference.
Same day diagnostics when available. Free written quote on every install and replacement.
AmeriHeat is an authorized Heil dealer. For ductless equipment we install Gree. For homeowners who want a higher-end build, we install Rheem. For fuel oil systems we install Thermo-Pride. For whole home humidifiers we install Aprilaire and Honeywell. For indoor air quality we also work with iWave. We service and maintain all major HVAC brands, not just the ones we install new. That includes Carrier, Trane, Goodman, York, American Standard, Bryant, Burnham, and Weil-McLain on older Sodus equipment
Around Sodus we serve Sodus Point, Williamson, Marion, Palmyra, Newark, Lyons, Wolcott, and the wider Wayne County area. Whether your home is in Sodus Village along Route 104, on a Sodus Bay lakefront cottage, on a rural orchard road, or in any of the small communities between Sodus and Lake Ontario, we can quote and complete the work.
